Based out of Madison, Wisconsin, Kristian Finfrock is the founder of Retirement Income Strategies and an experienced financial planner. He is also well-known in his community for his role as the host of “Madison Money Guy,” a popular local radio show. Kristian has almost two decades of experience within the industry and is passionate about empowering others to take control of their finances by creating a long-term plan for the future.
Prior to joining the financial services industry, Kristian served five years as a military police officer in the United States Army. As the first in his family to graduate high school, the Army provided him the opportunity to pursue higher education. Chasing a childhood dream of becoming an FBI agent, Kristian earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
However, as the years progressed, Kristian Finfrock bore witness to his family’s financial struggles. In an effort to help them navigate their finances, he began attending financial classes and discovered his true passion and a life-changing career. He returned to school and obtained an ASB and BSM with a minor in finance and began working as a financial planner. Within his third year on the job, he was the top advisor at the firm. Five years into his financial career, he realized he had the tools and talent to set out on his own.
A decade later, Kristian and his team at Retirement Income Strategies design some of the most forward-thinking investment plans for high net worth clients and retirees using his trademarked process. A pillar of Retirement Income Strategies is Kristian’s belief that his clients’ income should never be dependent on potential market shifts. With that guiding principle in mind, he focuses on identifying and creating dependable streams of lifetime retirement income.
Passionate about simplifying finances and improving financial literacy, Kristian Finfrock coaches wealth managers and financial advisors all across the country to further industry innovation and client service. In addition to his radio show, he has also been featured as a TV guest and has contributed to a variety of industry publications, including Kiplinger.
Additionally, as an active member in his local community and church, Kristian leads a financial ministry, is actively involved with the USO, and organizes events with Retirement Income Strategies, such as Toys for Tacos which helps struggling families, seniors and disabled adults who reside within the Evansville School District.
In his free time, Kristian can be found spending quality time with his family. As the father of two incredible girls, he prioritizes creating lasting memories and experiences with his daughters through playing golf and traveling.
